Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś has assumed honorary patronage of the construction of the Sanctuary of St. John Paul II in Antigua and Barbuda. The project is being implemented by the SMOM Embassy in Antigua and Barbuda and the Diocese of St. John’s-Basseterre. In a letter addressed to Ambassador Przemyslaw Häuser-Schöneich, the notary of the Metropolitan Curia in Łódź, Fr. Dominik Sujecki, announced that Cardinal Ryś had assumed patronage of the project.
On October 27, Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś met in Łódź with Ambassador Przemysław Häuser-Schöneich and H.E. Bishop Robert Llanos, who presented the Cardinal with details of the project to build the Sanctuary.
